The heart behind the hearth

Life happens,
good baking helps.

What began four years ago as a humble mission to feed my three kids honest, additive-free baked goods gradually blossomed into Plain City's favorite front-porch micro-bakery. Our kitchen turns organic flours and simple pantry ingredients into baked goods that vary with each drop.

“Bakes should not have 15 ingredients or sit in a warehouse for a week. Just flour, butter, eggs, salt, and patience.”— Allyson, Plain City cottage baker

Care for your bakes

No artificial stabilizers here. Find storage tips for baked goods and clear allergen information.

How long do the bakes stay fresh?

Freshness varies by bake. Check each item for storage guidance, and freeze extras on pickup day if you want them later.

Do the bakes require refrigeration?

Most breads and cookies do not need the fridge if you will eat them soon. Keep them cool and dry. Soft pastries with dairy fillings should be refrigerated. Almost everything freezes well once fully cooled. Thaw breads at room temperature or toast from frozen.

Are your bakes safe for people with food allergies?

We bake in a home cottage kitchen that uses wheat, dairy, eggs, and other common allergens, and we cannot guarantee products are free from cross-contact. Read the allergen notes on each bake before you reserve.
